Sunday Drive   is the best way to see the Midwest or any part of the US.

During Covid-19 lockdown we drove 50miles in one drection, two weeks later a different direction. We stopped for a picnic on each drive, walked around town squares, breathed in the Spring landscape, inspected local monuments, tried to imagine what fun was missed from signs for festivals that had to be canceled.

The quiet time gave me a chance to look and appreciate the unique features of small towns and newly planted fields.  Our local Cook  County Forest Preserve offered beauty often overlooked.
